Anthony Henday NE – Completed Fall 2018

The NEAHD project completed the remaining 9km section of Anthony Henday Drive.
This included reconstructing a six-lane and an eight-lane freeway, as well as upgrades to 6km of Highway 16 and 3km of divided highway.

➔ Features:
48 bridge structures, two river bridges, eight rail overpasses, and two road overpasses.

➔ Our Contribution:
Supplied safety barriers, including Modified Thrie Beam, Crash Cushion, Delineators, W-Beam Guardrail, Approach Transitions, High Tension Cable Barrier, and Crash Attenuators.

Regina Bypass – Completed Fall 2019

The largest transportation infrastructure project in Saskatchewan's history included 12 overpasses, 40km of new four-lane highway, and 55km of service roads.

➔ Features:
20km of resurfaced highway, five kilometres of twinned Highway 6.

➔ Our Contribution:
Supplied breakaway sign systems, Saskatchewan Cable Barrier, High Tension Cable Barrier, W-Beam Guardrail, Approach Transitions, and Collapsible End Terminals.

Deerfoot/212 Avenue SE – Completed Fall 2019

Our first major fabrication project in Calgary involved creating 110m of bridgerail and 120m of bicycle/handrail.

➔ Our contribution:
Successfully fabricated bridge components to specification, opening doors for future bridge projects.

High Tensions Cable Barrier Hwy #2 – Completed Summer 2020

This project placed 110km of High Tension Cable Barriers in the median between Edmonton and Calgary to prevent crossovers.

➔ Our Contribution:
Supplied High Tension Cable Barrier, Culvert End Protection, W-Beam Guardrail, Approach Transitions, and Crash Attenuators.

➔ Challenges Overcome:
Managed international supply chain disruptions and government restrictions on the workplace due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Stoney Trail SW – Completed Fall 2021

This project, part of the Calgary Ring Road, provided 31km of six- and eight-lane divided highway with 14 interchanges and 47 bridges.

➔ Our Contribution:
Supplied Modified Thrie Beam, W-Beam Guardrail, Approach Transitions, and Crash Attenuators.

Tłı̨chǫ All-Season Road – Completed Fall 2021

A new 97km gravel highway in the Northwest Territories, providing all-weather access from Highway 3 to the community of Whatì.

➔ Features:
Four bridges, 12 water crossings, geotechnical and wildlife management considerations.

➔ Our Contribution:
Supplied Bridge Railings, Delineators, W-Beam Guardrail, Approach Transitions, and Terminal Ends.

LNG Canada – Loading Line & Trestle (Completed Spring 2024)

This project involves constructing a new LNG plant and marine off-loading facility in Kitimat, BC.

➔ Features:
A 1.75km trestle with steel pipe foundations, modular pipe-racks, and a pre-cast concrete roadway.

➔ Our Contribution:
Supplied 2.5km of Bridgerail/Guardrail and 2.5km of Handrail.

➔ Challenges Overcome:
Managed international coordination with Australian contractors and standards, COVID-related disruptions, and stringent quality standards for highly corrosive environments.

Ongoing Projects

AT #19166 – Hwy 1A & Hwy 22 Interchange - Cochrane (Completion Schedule for Fall 2025)

Major construction on this project began in May 2023 and will take about 3 years to complete. The project includes: Expanding Highway 1A from two to four lanes, new bridges on Highway 1A over Big Hill Creek, Replacing the Highway 22 CP Rail overpass over Highway 1A, new interchange ramps, roundabouts connecting highways 1A and 22 as part of the interchange.

➔ Our Contribution:
Supplying all the Bridgerail, MSE Wall Railing, Pedestrian Handrails, Guardrails, Crush Cushions and Crash Attenuators.

➔ Challenges Overcome:
With being a multi-year project, controlling costs to stay within budget with considerable inflation that is occurring.  Navigating through significant design changes and change orders.
